Maj Gen Alex KAGAME is currently serving as the Rwanda Reserve Force Chief of Staff (RFCOS). The Gen has commanded Units and Formations both during peace time and war time. He has been the Commander of Joint Task Force in Mozambique, Division Commander and Commander of Republic Guard.

The Gen has attended several military courses, including being a fellow of Nation Defence University (China), graduate of Joint Command and Staff College (Karen-Kenya).

Maj Gen Alex Kagame is a holder of Master Degree in Security Defence Studies from China National Defence University (NDU) and he also holds a Diploma from Karen-Kenya.
