The Mozambique Chief of General Staff Admiral Joaquim Mangrasse visits Rwanda Security Force HQ in Mocimboa da Praia - Cabo Delgado
Today, 25 August 2023, the Mozambique Chief of General Staff (CGS), Admiral Joaquim Mangrasse, visited Rwanda Security Force Headquarters (RSF HQs) in Mocimboa da Praia City.
He was accompanied by Maj Gen Messias André Niposso the Inspector General of the Mozambique forces (FADM), Maj Gen Tiago Alberto Nampele the Mozambique Army Commander, Brig Gen Ricardo Makuvele the head Intelligence and Brig Gen Chongo Vidigal the Northern Theatre (NORT) in-charge operations in Cabo Delgado and other Commanders in the joint operations.
The purpose of the visit was to welcome the new Joint Task Force Comd to Cabo Delgado and discuss current joint operations
The CGS was welcomed by Maj Gen A Kagame, the Joint Task Force (JTF) Comd who briefed him specifically on current operations conducted by RSF in the operation area as well as security situation in RSF Area of Responsibility (AoR) namely Mocimboa da Praia, Palma and Ancuabe districts.
On RSF side there were Task Force Battle Group 3 (TFBG3) Comd, the Police Component Comd, NISS Coordinator and RSF Staff officers.
The CGS Admiral Joaquim Mangrasse appreciated the good work done by RSF and other forces in the theatre for fighting the terrorists and return the people to their normal activities.
