Tanzania Peoples' Defence Forces Command and Staff College students visit Rwanda

The RDF Army Chief of Staff (ACOS), Lt Gen Jacques Musemakweli received today a delegation of 29 senior officers from the Tanzania Peoples’ Defence Forces (TPDF) Command and Staff College who are in Rwanda to enhance their perceptive about security, and regional security issues.
The officers from different countries undergoing military training in different courses at the TPDF Command and Staff College are in Rwanda on a one-week study tour as per existing good relations between the two countries.
The officers hail from Tanzania, Kingdom of Eswatini and Zimbabwe. Before visiting the RDF headquarters, the delegation visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial where they paid respect to victims of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.
During their visit at RDF Headquarters, the Arusha based Defence College students were briefed on RDF organization and roles and its different activities which include contribution to national development and peacekeeping operations.
The chief instructor at TPDF Command and Staff College, Col Paul Masinde lauded the good relationship between Tanzania Peoples’ Defence Forces and Rwanda Defence Force, adding that Rwanda offers them a good case study as far as military and socio-economic development is concerned. 
“The aim of our visit is to examine from a strategic perspective, the management of security, foreign and public policy drawing lessons from Rwanda” Col Masinde noted.
Apart from Rwanda, he said, there are delegations visiting other countries across Africa.
While on their tour across Rwanda the visiting delegation will visit different RDF institutions including RDF Senior Command and Staff College, Rwanda Military Academy - Gako, ZIGAMA CSS, Military Medical Insurance (MMI), among others. They will also visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Rwanda Mining Board, Volkswagen assembling plant, before concluding the study tour on 22 February.
