Senior Delegation of Chinese People’s Liberation Army visits MOD and RDF HQs
Kigali, 8 August 2024
Hon J Marizamunda, the Minister of Defence and Gen MK Mubarakh, the Chief of Defence Staff of the Rwanda Defence Force, received Lt Gen Huang Xucong, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Central Theater Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, along with his delegation, who are on a four-day official visit to Rwanda.
They discussed ways of strengthening existing cooperation between the Rwanda Defence Force and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army .
Earlier today, the delegation toured the Combat Training Centre in Gabiro and will visit the Rwanda Military Academy in Gako tomorrow.
Yesterday, the delegation paid respect to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at the Kigali Genocide Memorial and visited the Campaign Against Genocide Museum.
