SECRETARY OF STATE FOR CABO DELGADO PROVINCE VISITS RWANDA SECURITY FORCES IN MOCÍMBOA DA PRAIA

The Secretary of State for Cabo Delgado Province, Fernando Bemane de Sousa, conducted an official visit today to the Rwanda Security Forces (RSF) deployed in Mocímboa da Praia. He was accompanied by Mr. Sergio Domingo Cypriano, Administrator of Mocímboa da Praia; Lt Col Elsa Domingos Zimia, Chief of Mobilization and Recruitment in Cabo Delgado; and Ms. Herena Bandeila, President of the Mocímboa da Praia Municipality.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the Joint Task Force Leadership and to strengthen relations and cooperation with the RSF working in the area of responsibility.
The delegation was warmly received by the RSF Joint Task Force (JTF) Commander Major General V. Gatama, alongside the Police Component Commander, CP Bertin Mutezintare, and other RSF staff officers. The visitors were briefed on the current security situation and ongoing operations within the RSF Area of Responsibility.
