RWANDA SECURITY FORCES PROVIDE SPORTS KITS TO YOUTH IN MOCÍMBOA DA PRAIA CITY

As part of their Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) and Community Policing initiatives, the Rwanda Security Forces (RSF) in Mocímboa da Praia, Cabo Delgado Province, today distributed sports kits to young people from the villages of Josina Machel and Philippe Nyusi. The initiative forms part of the RSF’s ongoing efforts to support local youth through sports and recreational activities.
The sports kits provided included balls, jerseys, shoes, and other essential equipment.
Following the handover, a friendly football match was held between the Josina Machel and Philippe Nyusi village teams, ending in a 1–1 draw.
The event was attended by Mr. Xavier Abdala, Secretary of the Mozambique Liberation Front (FRELIMO) in Mocímboa da Praia; Mr. Vicente Alfândega, Spokesperson of the Municipal Council; and Mr. Quizito Constancio, a community leader from Josina Machel.
Mr. Vicente Alfândega praised the RSF for its contribution to the security and wellbeing of Mozambicans.
