The Rwanda Security Forces (RSF) in Mozambique donated 10 sewing machines, along with their essential accessories, to a women’s cooperative (Cooperativa Moda do Litoral) in Mocímboa da Praia District, Cabo Delgado Province. This initiative aims to empower local women by promoting skills development and income-generating activities.

Representing the district leadership, Ms. Helena Bandeila, President of the Municipality of Mocímboa da Praia, commended the RSF's support for the people of Cabo Delgado, a region that endured years of conflict before the arrival of the first RSF contingent in July 2021.

“We deeply appreciate this contribution from the Rwanda Security Forces. It reflects their spirit of partnership, not only in security but also in rebuilding livelihoods. These sewing machines will empower our women to work, grow, and support their families with dignity,” said Ms. Bandeila.

Members of the cooperative expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the equipment will help revive the local tailoring trade and strengthen the economic resilience of their community.

This donation is part of the RSF's wider community engagement and livelihood support programs. It underscores the RSF’s ongoing commitment to human security, complementing their primary mission of restoring peace and stability in Cabo Delgado province.
