RDF LIBERATION CUP TOURNAMENT SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES IN KIGALI

The RDF Liberation Tournament concluded today with a final football match between Republican Guard (RG) and Task Force Division.
RG emerged winner of the final game with a score of 1 goal to 0 for the Task Force Division.
RMA Gako emerged the winner in both Volleyball and Basketball in matches that were played earlier on last Saturday with the following results: RMA Gako vs SOF 4 -2 sets and RMA Gako vs RAF 60- 54
The Liberation Cup tournament was a curtain-raiser in celebrating the liberation day (Kwibohora 29) 4th July 2023.
The Minister of Defence, Hon Juvenal Marizamunda who was the guest of honour, emphasised that the competition was established considering the role of RDF in Rwanda liberation struggle, and the need to enhance physical fitness, cohesion, comradeship and morale among members of the RDF.
The final game was attended by the Minister of Sports, Hon Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju, the Senior defence and security advisor to the President, Gen James Kabarebe, the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, Lt Gen Mubarakh Muganga and RDF Service Chiefs and other sports senior officials.
