Director of EASF pays courtesy call on Minister of Defence and RDF Chief of Defence Staff
Kigali, 6 December 2022
Today, the Director of Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF), Brig Gen Getachew Shiferaw Fayisa accompanied by EASF Commander, Brig Gen Vincent Gatama and Head of Peace Operations Department, Brig Gen Domicien Kalisa visited Rwanda Defence Force Headquarters and were received by Hon Minister of Defence Maj Gen Albert Murasira and Chief of Defence Staff, Gen J Bosco Kazura.
The purpose of their visit was to appraise the Minister and CDS about EASF activities and also discuss ways of strengthening EASF to be poised for future challenges.
The team also evaluated Rwanda's pledged capabilities (military & police) in line with the EASF Force readiness assessment.
