On 18th Aug 23, the Administrator of Mocimboa da Praia, Mr Sergio Domingo Cypriano accompanied by Zito Navaca the director of Serviço de Informações e Segurança do Estado (SISE) translated as the Director of the State Information and Security Service, Superintendent Alberto Elia Nampovo the District Police Commander, Senior Superintendent Januario João Jagaia the District Police head operations, Maj Albertino A Nabelo Navy Commander, Izìdro Periacela the Chita Battalion Commander and Celestino Peliduos the Local Force Commander made a familiarisation visit to Rwanda Security Force Headquarters (RSF HQs) in Mocimboa da Praia Town.

The delegation was received at RSF HQs by Maj Gen A Kagame, the Joint Task Force (JTF) Comd along with Task Force Battle Group 3 (TFBG3) Comd, the Police Component Comd, NISS Coordinator and RSF Staff officers. The JTF Comd briefed the delegation on security situation in RSF AoR particularly Mocimboa da Praia district. 

The District Administrator Domingo said that the purpose of the visit was to thank RSF for the good work done in fighting terrorists and to request them to continue intensifying military operations in the district of Mocimboa.

He stressed that the collaboration between Rwanda Security Force and Mozambique Forces is excellent and has rebuilt confidence in Mozambican people to return to their normal lives. He further pledged continued commitment to enable the Rwanda Security Forces (RSF) to accomplish its mission.
