ARMY COMMANDER OF MOZAMBICAN ARMED FORCES VISITS RWANDA SECURITY FORCES IN MOCĂŤMBOA DA PRAIA

 

The Army Commander of the Mozambique Armed Defence Forces (FADM), Major General André Rafael Mahunguane, today visited the Rwandan Joint Task Force (JTF) Headquarters located in Mocímboa da Praia, Cabo Delgado Province.

The FADM Army Commander was received by the Rwanda Security Forces JTF Commander, Brigadier General CM Mujuni, along with the Police Component Commander and the Task Force Brigade Group-7 Commander.

During the visit, Major General Mahunguane was briefed on the current security situation in Cabo Delgado Province. Discussions between both sides subsequently focused on joint operational planning, strengthening operational coordination and information sharing.

Major General Mahunguane commended the ongoing joint efforts between Mozambican and Rwandan forces in the fight against terrorism.

The Army Commander further reiterated the importance of continued cooperation between the two forces and pledged his full support.
