ZIGAMA CSS HOLDS GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND APPROVES 2026 BUSINESS PLAN

ZIGAMA Credit and Savings Society (ZIGAMA CSS) General Assembly convened today at the RDF Headquarters in Kimihurura, to review the cooperative’s performance and endorse both the 2026 business plan and 2025-2029 strategic plan, which reaffirmed the cooperative long-term growth ambitions.

The 41st General Assembly was presided over by the Hon Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, alongside Hon Minister of interior  Dr Vincent Biruta. It was attended by the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, heads of security organs, and invited members.

In his welcome address, Minister Marizamunda highlighted the crucial role ZIGAMA CSS plays in supporting socio-economic stability within Rwanda’s defence and security institutions.

Brig Gen Cooper Mike Mujuni, the Vice Chairman of ZIGAMA CSS Board of Directors, emphasized the cooperative’s steady progress over the past year and reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to expanding services and increasing its gross income as well as raising its net profit.

According to the approved Business Plan for the year 2026, ZIGAMA CSS targets to increase Net Profit from 39.3 billion to 42.2 billion.

Members also approved several resolutions aimed at expanding welfare programs, strengthening governance structures. Among the key resolutions, the assembly approved that with regard to improve the welfare, ZIGAMA CSS will decrease the interest rate for non-commissioned officers, other ranks and members from different security organs who fall in the same category.

The assembly was attended by members of ZIGAMA CSS from various security organs, including the Rwanda Defence Force, Rwanda National Police, Rwanda Correctional Services, National Intelligence and Security Service, Rwanda Investigation Bureau, and Rwanda Forensic Institute.
