The Students and Directing Staff from Nigeria Armed Forces Command and Staff college, Jaji (Kaduna) pays courtesy call to the RDF Chief of General Staff
The students and Directing Staff from Nigeria Armed Forces Command and Staff College who are in the country for one week regional study tour paid a courtesy call to the RDF Chief of General Staff, Gen James KABAREBE at the Defence Forces Headquarter in Kimihurura and were briefed on the RDF and the general security situation in the Great Lakes Region. The visiting team of 25 Senior Officers from 4 different countries (Nigeria, Ghana, Niger and Liberia) is led by Brig Gen AA Ilogho, the Director of Simulation Center at the College.
The team have earlier received briefing from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ministry of Local Government, National Unity and Reconciliation Commission, Gacaca, Zigama – Credit and Saving Scheme (CSS) and the Rwanda National Office for Tourism and National Parks (ORTPN).
The team also visited Kigali Genocide Memorial Center at Gisozi, the Heroes’ Acre in Remera, Akagera National Park in Eastern Province and also toured Kigali City.
On behalf of the visiting team, Brig Gen Ilogho praised the RDF and the entire Government of Rwanda for the peace and security prevailing in the country as well as the tremendous rate of socio-economic development after the horrendous Tutsi genocide of 1994. He ended his remarks by calling for “Never Again” [to genocide].
