THE RDF ARMY CHIEF OF STAFF MEETS RWANDAN PEACEKEEPERS IN BANGUI CITY

The Rwanda Defense Force (RDF) Army Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Vincent NYAKARUNDI, accompanied by his delegation, today visited Rwandan peacekeepers serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), specifically the RWABAT-1 Contingent based at Socatel M’Poko Camp in Bangui City.

Addressing the peacekeepers, Maj Gen Vincent NYAKARUNDI conveyed appreciation from the RDF leadership and praised the contingent for its professionalism, discipline, and commitment in fulfilling its peacekeeping mandate.He also briefed the troops on the prevailing security situation in Rwanda and the wider region.

The ACOS is in the Central African Republic on a working visit focused on strengthening the existing bilateral military cooperation. The delegation will also visit the RDF personnel deployed under both the United Nations mandate and bilateral arrangements.
