The Jordanian-Rwandan Business Forum

The first session of the Rwanda-Jordan Joint Trade Committee was held in Kigali, co-chaired by H.E. Eng. Yarub Qudah, Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, and H.E. Mr. Prudence Sebahizi, Rwanda’s Minister of Trade and Industry.

The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and economic development. Both sides agreed to begin negotiations for a Trade Preferences Agreement, aimed at boosting trade volume and expanding Jordanian exports to Rwanda.

Several Memoranda of Understanding were signed in areas including tourism, culture, food and pharmaceuticals, standards and metrology, and environmental protection.

It was also agreed that the second session of the Joint Committee will be held in Amman in 2026 to follow up on the outcomes.
