THE JDF SUPPORT BRIGADE COMMANDER VISITS RDF ENGINEER CONTINGENT IN JAMAICA

The Commander of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Support Brigade, Brigadier O' neil A Bogle, visited the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Engineer Contingent in Montego Bay City, St James Parish. The visit aimed at assessing the progress of renovation efforts done by the RDF Engineer Contingent along with JDF Engineers, in assisting local communities rebuild homes destroyed by strong winds and rains of Hurricane Melissa in October last year.
On his arrival at the construction site, Brigadier Bogle was received by Col Moses Kayigamba, the RDF Engineer Contingent Commander, who briefed him on the progress of completed and ongoing rehabilitation works.
Both Commanders interacted with home owners, who expressed gratitude for the support from RDF and JDF.
Brigadier Bogle commended the RDF Engineer contingent for their contribution to the nation’s recovery
The RDF contingent has so far completed reconstruction work on 15 houses, all of which have been handed over to their owners.
