Rwanda's First-Ever Varsity League Concludes with Historic Finals
The inaugural Varsity League, launched in 2025, has successfully concluded its first season, marking a significant milestone in the growth of university sports in Rwanda.
Bringing together universities from across the country, the competition showcased outstanding talent in football, basketball, volleyball, and handball, providing student-athletes with a national platform to compete, develop their skills, and promote the values of teamwork, discipline, and excellence.
Throughout the season, teams demonstrated determination and sportsmanship, culminating in exciting finals that crowned the league's first-ever champions.
The Ministry of Sports congratulates all participating institutions for contributing to the success of this historic edition and extends special recognition to the top-performing teams.
