Rwandan peacekeepers under MINUSCA get COVID-19 jabs

Bangui, 16 March 2021

Rwandan peacekeepers under United Nations Multidimensional Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) yesterday received COVID-19 jabs. The function was held at Rwandan Battalion (Rwabatt7) Headquarters at Socatel M’poko, Bangui Capital.

The Exercise is in the line with the Rwandan government plan which prioritised high-risk groups that include the peacekeepers due to their work environment.

Lt Col Vianney Kabalisa, the head of delegation from Rwanda Defence Force Medical Team told the Rwandan peacekeepers that the Rwanda government considered them a priority given the nature of their duties.
 
The exercise will continue in different parts of CAR where Rwandan peacekeepers are deployed including Bangui Capital City, Bria, Kagambandoro, Batangafo among others.
