RWANDAN PEACEKEEPERS LEAD JOINT COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC

Rwanda Battle Group VI, operating under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), partnered with the local community, leaders, UN personnel, and the Zambian Battalion in a joint community clean-up initiative aimed at improving public health in Bria Town and surrounding areas in Haute Kotto Prefecture.

Key participants included Mr. Maurice Balekouzou the Mayor of Bria town, UN staff from Sector East Headquarters, both Rwanda Battle Group VI and Zambian battalion soldiers with numerous residents of Bria.

Rwanda Battle Group VI, a mechanized battalion deployed in December 2023, is stationed in eastern of CAR to enhance security in Bria, Sam-Ouandja, and Ouada Districts.
