Juba-Durupi, 5 October 2024.
Today, Rwandan peacekeepers (RWANBATT-3) serving under the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) played a friendly football match with the youth from IDP Camp-3, during which they also donated sports equipment to the camp’s football team. The match took place at the Madi football playground in Juba and ended with RWANBATT-3 securing a 2-0 victory.
The Chairman of IDP Camp-3, Mr. Elijah Hon Badiep, expressed gratitude to the Rwandan peacekeepers for their ongoing cooperation with the South Sudanese people, noting that the match symbolized shared hope for peace and unity.
