Rwandan Peacekeepers conduct Community Outreach in Bria, Central African Republic

Rwandan peacekeepers from the Rwanda Medical IX Level 2+ Hospital, operating under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), held a community outreach event in Bria, Haute Kotto Prefecture.

The team provided malaria prevention education, promoted hand hygiene, and distributed school supplies—including notebooks and pens—to 145 students of Saint Florent KOYASSI Primary School.

Local leaders, including the school inspector of Haute Kotto Prefecture, Prefect and the parents, expressed their gratitude for the support provided to the students.

Col Dr. Theogene Rurangwa, commander of the Rwanda Level 2+ Hospital, emphasized the peacekeepers’ commitment to not only protect civilians but also to support education and the well-being of the local population.
