Rwanda Security Forces Commander attends 12th Joint Operational Coordination Meeting

Maj Gen Emmy K. Ruvusha, Commander of the Rwanda Security Forces (RSF), took part in the 12th Joint Operational Coordination Meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration between military commanders.

The meeting, held in Pemba was chaired by Mozambique Armed Forces Chief of General Staff (CGS) Admiral Joaquim Mangrasse and attended by representatives from the RSF and the Tanzanian People’s Defence Forces.

During the discussions, participants were briefed on the current security situation and ongoing operations within their respective areas of responsibility. They acknowledged the progress toward normalcy in some regions while also noting continued sporadic terrorist movements.

In his address, Maj Gen Ruvusha reaffirmed RSF’s commitment to intensifying offensive operations. He underscored the need to dismantle suspected terrorist hideouts to ensure lasting security.

The joint operational coordination meeting concluded with an agreement to sustain counter-terrorism efforts through enhanced intelligence sharing and coordinated planning to combat terrorism and its impact in Cabo Delgado Province.
