Bangui, 29 July 2025
Rwandan peacekeepers (RWABATT13) serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), today received the Presidential Medal of Appreciation from His Excellency Prof. Faustin Archange TOUADERA, President of CAR and Commander-in-Chief of the Central African Republic Armed Forces.
The event took place at the presidential palace in Bangui City and was attended by H.E. Olivier KAYUMBA, Ambassador of Rwanda in CAR, Chief of Defence Staff of FACA and Government officials.
The award was given in recognition of their commitment, courage, and professionalism during their tour of duty while conducting peace support operations and protecting civilians in CAR.
The award of medals signifies recognition of the battalion’s discipline, professionalism, and exemplary conduct in executing UN mandated tasks.
