RWANDA DEFENCE FORCE DONATES LIVESTOCK TO VULNERABLE FAMILIES IN KAYONZA DISTRICT

The Rwanda Defence Force today donated livestock (cows and goats) to the vulnerable families in Kayonza District , Ndego Sector as part of celebration of Umuganura Day.
The 5 Division Commander, Brig Gen Justus Majyambere handed the donation to families on behalf of the RDF Chief of Defence Staff.
The guest of honor, Hon Uwamariya Odette, the member of parliament extended her heartfelt appreciation to the people of Ndego for their enthusiastic participation in this meaningful day when citizens come together to celebrate their accomplishments and reaffirm their commitment to preserving the progress made.
She also commended the leadership of the Rwanda Defence Force for their remarkable initiative of donating livestock as a gesture aimed at enhancing the well-being of citizens.
She encouraged citizens to keep working hard and to seek solutions from within themselves. She reminded them that Umuganura starts at home, where families sit together to reflect on their progress and plan for the future.
Brig Gen Justus Majyambere said that the donations were aimed at alleviating poverty, improving nutrition, and fostering social cohesion. He noted that the donation symbolizes the collaborative effort of security organs and citizen. He urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the donation, ensuring they reproduce and provide long-term benefits.
Nimukuze Madeleine, a 70-year-old beneficiary from Kamabuye Village in Karambi Cell, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the RDF leadership after receiving a cow. She thanked them for the generous donation, saying, “This cow will help improve my family’s nutrition, and more importantly, it will support us in lifting ourselves out of poverty.
