Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College graduates 39 Junior Officers

Thirty nine junior officers that include thirty seven from Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and two from Rwanda National Police (RNP) graduated from Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) in Musanze District this Friday 26 October 2018.
While officiating at the graduation ceremony, the Commandant of RDF Command and staff college, Major General Jean Bosco Kazura reminded the fresh graduates that they have acquired elementary tools required to work harder and achieve more; and to bravely handle immediate and future tasks.

“Congratulations on completing this milestone, your success in your next job is going to be critical for the nation. We are all proud of you. In fact, go out there with the spirit of patriotism and loyalty than ever before and always put your county first” Maj Gen Kazura advised. He further told the officers that their graduation constituted a milestone in their professional development.
The JCSC at RDFCSC is aimed at equipping selected middle-level officers as well as other officers from partner countries with the ability to perform command and staff responsibilities at tactical level both in peacetime and in war, while preparing them for further professional development.
On completion of this course, the graduates will be able to competently perform command responsibilities such as company commanders, deputy unit commanders as well as duties of Grade 3 Staff Officers at tactical and operational levels.
Above all, the course produces critical and creative thinking officers who can adapt to the ever-changing operational environment, and who are motivated to continue learning and improving throughout their careers

Major Jean Paul Shyaka from Rwanda Defence Force, was awarded as the best overall student, while SP Alex Manzi from Rwanda National Police merged second overall student.The ceremony was attended by RDF Senior and RNP Officers, spouses and family relatives of graduates as well as local authorities.
