RDF Special Operations Force gets new trained personnel
Nasho, 21 December 2018
Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) Special Operations Force got today new personnel after they had undergone eleven months of special combat training.
The pass-out ceremony was officiated by the Rwanda Air Force Chief of Staff Maj Gen Charles Karamba, at Nasho Basic Training Centre, in Kirehe District.
Addressing the soldiers, Maj Gen Karamba said that the main chore of a soldier is to protect the country from enemies whose intentions are to destabilize peace and security, adding that such people exist out there. He reminded graduates that training session is one thing apart; but what is more important is how to put into practice the acquired skills or do even better.
“You have to maintain the morale and skills you displayed here during the demonstration when called upon to protect the sovereignty of our country and be ready to perform any given task as Special Operations Force personnel. Military science is the same all over the world; what differentiates RDF from others is our military culture; Rwandan culture doesn’t allow us to be defeated but challenges us to be perfect and efficient in all what we do” said Maj Gen Karamba.
During this ceremony, the top three best performers were awarded with honor. Among them was Lt James Kamanzi, the overall best performer.
