RDF PERSONNEL GRADUATE FROM VOCATIONAL TRAINING AT RWANDA POLYTECHNIC HUYE
A total of 333 Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) personnel, comprising officers and other ranks, today graduated after successfully completing an intensive three-month vocational training programme at Rwanda Polytechnic, Huye College.
The programme equipped participants with practical vocational skills in various technical fields, aimed at strengthening their professional competencies and enhancing their contribution to military duties.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Brig Gen Louis Kanobayire, RDF Chief of Military Training, Education and Doctrine, who represented the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, alongside the Principal of Rwanda Polytechnic, Huye College, Lt Col Dr Bernabe Twabagira, and members of the college staff.

Speaking at the ceremony, Brig Gen Kanobayire commended the graduates for successfully completing the programme, emphasizing the importance of vocational skills in empowering military personnel. He noted that the skills acquired would enable them to perform their duties more effectively, engage in productive activities, become more self-reliant and improve their livelihoods after retirement from military service.
Brig Gen Kanobayire urged the graduates to put their newly acquired knowledge and skills into practice, work harder and uphold high professional standards in order to contribute to the development of the RDF.
Lt Col Dr Bernabe Twabagira, Principal of Rwanda Polytechnic Huye College, commended the graduates for their dedication and commitment throughout the course. He urged them to put the skills they had acquired into practice in service of the RDF and the country, while upholding professionalism, dignity and teamwork.

Lt Col Murenzi Rugeruza, speaking on behalf of the graduates, expressed appreciation to the RDF leadership for providing them with the opportunity to undertake the training. He reaffirmed their commitment to using the skills acquired to contribute to their personal development, strengthen the RDF and support the country's overall development.
The three-month programme reflects the RDF's commitment to continuous professional development and skills enhancement, ensuring that its personnel acquire practical competencies that will enable them to contribute meaningfully to society, both during and after their military careers.
