RDF Inter-Force Sports Competition on high gear
Kigali, 23 December 2019
The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Inter Force competition planned from 1 October 2019 to 1 February 2020 is on high gear; with an aim to enhance physical fitness, promote esprit de corps, force cohesion, combat readiness and talent detection among the Force.
“The annual tournament also cultivates fair play, tolerance and obedience values and boost morale of our soldiers” says the Director of Sports, Lt Col Simba Kinesha.

The tournament is organised in 6 disciplines; Football, Basketball, Volley Ball, Handball, Athletics and Shooting. The competition comprises 16 teams including RDF Divisions, Schools and Specialised Units and these teams are divided in two groups within which home and away matches will be played except for shooting and athletics which will take place in the final round.
The winning teams will play final matches on the Eve and on Heroes Day Celebration;that is on 31st January and 1 February 2020 respectively.
