RDF Chief of Defence Staff visits Egyptian Armed Forces

The Chief of Defence Staff of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), Gen Patrick Nyamvumba conducted a working visit to Egypt from 3-5 December 2018 at the invitation of his counterpart, Lt Gen Mohamed Farid Hegazy, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
The CDS and his delegation participated in the International Exhibition of Defence (Egypt Defence Expo) and Security Services hosted by the Egyptian Armed Forces, visited some military installations and had bilateral meetings on how the two countries can strengthen military cooperation.
The two Defence Chiefs expressed interest to cooperate in a number of fields of national security affecting each other’s country. The Egyptian Armed Forces are behind national development, a tenet shared by the Rwanda Defence Force.
Rwanda and Egypt enjoy strong bilateral relations as they share ties across several sectors including healthcare, military training among others.
