PRIME MINISTER PRESIDES OVER SWEARING-IN CEREMONY OF NEW MILITARY HIGH COURT OFFICIALS

The Right Hon. Prime Minister, Dr. Edouard Ngirente, officiated the Swearing-In Ceremony of newly appointed officials for the Military High Court and the Military Tribunal.
Following the Cabinet's approval on 9 November 2024, Brig Gen Patrick Karuretwa was appointed President of the Military High Court; Lt Col Charles Sumanyi, Vice President of the Military High Court; Lt Col Gerard Muhigirwa Vice President of the Military Tribunal, and two Judges in the Military High Court: Lt Darcy Ndayishimiye and Lt Thérèse Mukasakindi, and two Judges in the Military Tribunal: Capt Moses Ndoba and Lt Victor Kamanda.
In his remarks during the ceremony, the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Dr. Ngirente, urged the newly sworn-in officials to prioritize continuous professional development.
He further emphasised the importance of leveraging technology in their daily work to enhance efficiency, performance, and service delivery.
The event took place in the presence of the Minister of Defence, Hon. Juvenal Marizamunda; the Minister of Justice, Dr. Emmanuel Ugirashebuja; the Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Hon Ines Mpambara and the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, Gen MK Mubarakh, the Prosecutor General Angelique Habyarimana, Military Prosecutor General, Col Pacifique Kabanda among others.
