PRESS RELEASE : RDF, RNP and partners organise Defence and Security Citizen Outreach Programme 2024

Kigali, 28 February 2024

On Friday, 1 March 2024, Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and Rwanda National Police (RNP) will officially launch the "Defence and Security Citizen Outreach Programme 2024" (CORwanda24) activities in partnership with the local government. It will be held under the theme: “30 Years of Liberation: Defence & Security Organs with the Community partnering for Rwanda’s Development”.

This is in line with the RDF and RNP constitutional mandate to contribute to Rwanda’s socio-economic development.

The countrywide three-month community development activities will address human security issues in different sectors, namely; health, environment, public infrastructure, utilities and construction of houses for the disadvantaged families.

RDF and RNP extend their gratitude and appreciation to the public for their unwavering support to the security and development of Rwanda.

Ku wa 1 Werurwe 2024, Ingabo na Polisi by'u Rwanda ku bufatanye n'izindi nzego bazatangiza ibikorwa byo gufasha abaturage mu mibereho myiza n'iterambere. Ni ibikorwa bifite insanganyamatsiko igira iti: "Imyaka 30 yo Kwibohora, ku bufatanye bw'Ingabo z'Igihugu, Inzego z'Umutekano n’Abaturage mu Iterambere ry'u Rwanda".

Uruhare rw'Ingabo na Polisi by'u Rwanda mu bikorwa by'iterambere n'imibereho myiza y’abaturage biteganywa n'amategeko agenga izi nzego.

Ibi bikorwa bizakorerwa mu gihugu hose mu gihe cy'amezi atatu, bikazibanda mu byiciro bitandukanye bigamije guteza imbere imibereho myiza y'abaturage hibandwa ku buvuzi, kubungabunga ibidukikije, kubaka ibikorwaremezo, ubworozi no kubakira imiryango itishoboye.
