NAMIBIA COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE DELEGATION MEETS RDF CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF
A delegation of Senior Officers and faculty members from the Namibia Command and Staff College, led by the Commandant, Brig Gen Erastus Benhard NATHINGE, today, 19 September 2026, held discussions with the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen MK MUBARAKH, at RDF Headquarters. The delegation has concluded its study tour in Rwanda today.
During the meeting, Brig Gen NATHINGE expressed appreciation for the information and insights shared by various presenters throughout their visit. He said the delegation had witnessed how visionary leadership has contributed to Rwanda's transformation.
“In our quest for studies, these students in front of you, witnessed the country that was declared a failed state in 1994, where the whole world turned its back on it without offering a solution. We witnessed through our visit how visionary leadership raised Rwanda to what it is today,” NATHINGE said.
In his remarks, Gen MUBARAKH described the study tour as a valuable opportunity to strengthen the existing bonds between Rwanda and Namibia.
“We consider this study tour not only as an important Academic engagement, but also as a valuable opportunity to further strengthen existing bonds and establish more sustainable military-to-military relations between the RDF and the Namibia Defence Force,” Gen MUBARAKH said.
He added that the knowledge and perspectives gained during the study tour would contribute meaningfully to the participants' professional development and the broader objectives of their course.
The study tour provided an opportunity to further strengthen defence cooperation between Rwanda and Namibia, while enabling the delegation to gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda's experiences in security, governance, and development.
