GOVERNOR OF LOBAYE PROVINCE IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC PARTICIPATES IN THE 31ST COMMEMORATION OF THE 1994 GENOCIDE AGAINST THE TUTSI IN RWANDA
Today, 10 April 2025, Bilateral forces deployed in Mbaiki and Bagandou, together with local leaders and security organs participated in 31st commemoration of the Genocide of Tutsi in 1994 in Rwanda. The event was attended by the Governor of Lobaye Province Madam Lydie Georgette Gahoro, Mayor of Mbaiki, the Commanders of FACA, police and Gendarmerie of Lobaye Province.
The Governor of the Lobaye province in her remarks said that Rwanda has undergone a remarkable transformation since 1994, transitioning from horrors of the Genocide to become a beacon of hope and resilience. She added that the country achieved significant strides in reconciliation, reconstruction, and socio - economic development through visionary leadership and collective engagements. She acknowledged the efforts made by the RDF in bringing peace, security, and stability in Lobaye Province, Mbaiki city.
