EU AMBASSADOR TO MOZAMBIQUE VISITS RWANDA SECURITY FORCES IN MOCIMBOA DA PRAIA DISTRICT

Today, 29 March 2023, the European Union Ambassador to Mozambique, H E Antonino Maggiore along with the Force Commander of the European Union Training Mission in Mozambique, Brig Gen Comodore Martins de Brito visited Rwanda Security Forces Headquarters in Mocimboa da Praia, Cabo Delgado Province.
They were welcomed by the Rwandan Security Forces Joint Task Force commander Maj Gen E NKUBITO who briefed them on the security situation in the area of responsibility of the Joint Mozambique and Rwandan Security Forces.
H E Antonino Maggiore appreciated the exemplary cooperation between the joint forces involved in operations to pacify Cabo Delgado province. He further commended the provision of social services including providing medical support to local residents. He pledged to offer his advocacy to encourage NGOs to support in providing further humanitarian assistance to the people who continue to return to their homes.
