CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC MILITARY CHIEF HOLDS HIGH-LEVEL TALKS WITH RDF LEADERSHIP

The Chief of General Staff of the Central African Republic Armed Forces, General Zéphirin MAMADOU, who is in Rwanda on official visit, today held talks with Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) leadership at RDF Headquarters in Kimihurura. He was received by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen MK Mubarakh.

During the visit, General MAMADOU also paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Defence, Hon. Juvenal Marizamunda, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen defence and military cooperation between Rwanda and the Central African Republic.

The discussions provided an opportunity for both sides to explore ways of further strengthening their existing bilateral relations, with particular focus on military training, operational cooperation and the implementation of previously signed agreements.

As part of his visit, General MAMADOU, alongside his Rwandan counterpart, Gen MK Mubarakh, also attended a graduation ceremony held yesterday at the RDF Basic Military Training Centre in Nasho, Kirehe District. A total of 254 officers and other ranks from the Central African Republic Armed Forces (FACA) graduated after successfully completing a six-month Basic Special Operations Force Training.

The visit underscores the continued commitment of Rwanda and the Central African Republic to deepening their defence partnership through sustained engagement, military capacity-building and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
