CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC ARMED FORCES CHIEF OF GENERAL STAFF VISITS RDF HEADQUARTERS
Kigali, 10 June 2024
Today, the Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Central African Republic Armed Forces, Maj Gen Zépherin MAMADOU visited the Rwanda Defence Force headquarters where he was welcomed by the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, Gen MK Mubarakh. He also extended a courtesy call to the Minister of Defence, Hon Juvenal Marizamunda.
They held bilateral talks to further deepen the existing relations between the two armies.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Maj Gen Zépherin MAMADOU said that the purpose of his visit is indeed to exchange and advance within the framework of the agreements signed in the past, in the field of training and operations that are progressing well.
“On this occasion, as you know, the relationship between our two armies is truly elevated. This stems from the agreements already established between our two Heads of State who have agreed to strengthen cooperation between our two armies. We particularly rely on the effective model of the Rwandan army, which is already achieving numerous achievements on the ground in the Central African Republic as part of the UN peacekeeping mission and also bilaterally,” said Maj Gen Mamadou.
The CGS of the Central African Republic Armed Forces and his delegation, who are in Rwanda for a week-long working visit, will tour the Rwanda Military Academy in Gako, Zigama CSS, and other agencies affiliated with the Ministry of Defence.
