CAR: RWANDAN PEACEKEEPERS HAND OVER REHABILITATED BASKETBALL COURT TO LOCAL COMMUNITY IN BOSSEMBELE

 

Rwandan peacekeepers of RWABAT-2 in Bossembele, Central African Republic, yesteday handed over a rehabilitated basketball court to local community in Bossembele.The event officiated by RWABAT-2 Contingent Commander, Col Laurent Munana Kalisa alongside Bossembele Sous-Préfète Ms. Beatrice, also included the donation of sports and scholastic materials to local youth.

In her remarks, Ms. Beatrice commended RWABAT-2 for its continuous support towards community development and the promotion of sports activities in Bossembele.

She particularly appreciated the rehabilitation of basketball court, the donation of sports and educational materials, noting that these contributions  will motivate young people to actively engage in sports and education. 

The event featured friendly sports matches organized in the respect of  promoting peace, unity, youth empowerment, and stronger civil-military cooperation between MINUSCA peacekeepers and the local community.
