CAR DEPUTY CHIEF OF GENERAL STAFF IN CHARGE OF LOGISTICS VISITS KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL
A delegation of senior officers from the Central African Republic, led by Brig Gen Elie KOZEMBROU, Deputy Chief of General Staff in charge of Logistics, today visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where they paid tribute to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and gained insights into its historical background and execution.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Brig Gen KOZEMBROU said he was deeply shocked by the atrocities committed during the Genocide against the Tutsi and expressed his solidarity with the people of Rwanda.

He noted that what impressed him most was Rwanda’s remarkable journey of recovery and reconstruction, emphasizing that the country’s experience should serve as an inspiration to other African nations to overcome the legacy of conflict and work towards unity and national cohesion.
He further highlighted the longstanding and strong relations between Rwanda and the Central African Republic.

The delegation also visited the Campaign against Genocide Museum and was briefed on the role played by the Rwanda Patriotic Army ( RPA) in stopping the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
