APR KARATE WINS OVERALL TITLE AT ZANSHIN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2026

The Zanshin Karate Championship 2026, an international karate competition, was held this evening at Petit Stade in Kigali, with APR Karate emerging as the overall champion.

More than 600 athletes from Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda participated in the competition. APR Karate team with 19 athletes delivered a strong performance, winning 8 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze medals in the senior category, along with 2 silver medals in the under-14 category.

The championship was organised by Zanshin Sport Solution in partnership with the Rwanda Karate Federation (FERWAKA), with support from sponsors, including Kampala University and Kenya University Hospital.

This was the fourth edition of the championship. The previous three editions were held in Huye, Southern Province, where Zanshin Sport Solution is based.
