37 RDF officers complete Junior Command and Staff Course

Thirty-seven officers of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and two officers from Rwanda National Police have successfully completed a Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC/12) at RDF Command and Staff College in Nyakinama, Musanze District.
The pass-out ceremony was graced by top RDF Senior officers and attended by parents, friends, relatives, spouses of the graduates and local authorities in the Northern Province.
Speaking at the event, Maj Gen J Bosco Kazura, the guest of honor and the Commandant of the RDF Command and Staff College (RDFCSC) told the graduates that they should continue aiming higher for tomorrow’s success as they should always make sure that Rwanda is peaceful, secure and prosperous than ever before.
He told the graduates that they should always apply the skills gained in their daily work as Commanders. “You should use the knowledge obtained here to enhance your capacities and help you win decisive wars”, he said. “You should preserve RDF values and principles and translate them into better actions whether off or on duty”, he added.
During the four month course, the students undertook intensive training programme comprising many modules; including operational service writing, communication skills, force organization, military leadership, command and management, military training, military intelligence tactics, logistics, land operations, air operations and peace support operations.
They also undertook a number of study visits and most importantly conducted many indoor and outdoor exercises.
