Ministry of Defence discusses service delivery with some members of the business Community
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Brig Gen Jack Nziza yesterday 18 February 2010 held a meeting with Businessmen and women who provide service to the Ministry.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore ways of enhancing service delivery. In his opening remarks the Permanent Secretary stressed that both the ministry and the clients need good and quality service in their partnership.
Among the gaps that were identified include delays in delivery of goods and payment; lack of credibility and professionalism by some companies sometimes leading to penalties; and lack of effective communication.
The meeting was held at Prime Holdings.
Col Albert Murasira the Head of Personnel and Administration [J1], Lt Col Innocent Kabandana the Head of Logistics [J4] and Lt Col John Gacinya the Procurement Officer in the Ministry of Defence also attended the meeting.
