Thanks for visiting MOD website. Our privacy policy outlines the information we collect when you visit our site and how we use this information.

We receive two types of information when you visit our site:

Information Automatically Collected

Links to Other Sites Our website has links too many other governmental agencies, and, in a few cases, to private organizations, foreign governments and international organizations. You should be aware that:

• MOD.gov.rw is not responsible for the contents of any pages referred from its website.

External links are selected and reviewed when the content page is published. However, the MOD is not responsible for the content of external websites. This is because:

• The MOD does not produce them or maintain/update them

• The MOD cannot change them

• They can be changed without the MOD’s knowledge or agreement

Intrusion Detection

For site security purposes and to ensure that the site remains available to all users, we employ software programs that monitor traffic and identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. In the event of authorized law enforcement investigations, and pursuant to any required legal process, information from these sources may be used to help identify an individual.

All MOD internet mail servers are configured to prevent their use as open mail relays, and any attempt by non-authorized personnel to use such servers will be treated as misuse. Any suspected abusive email from a genuine or forged MOD address should be reported to your local MOD authority.

The practice of sending unsolicited bulk mail ("spam") or e-mail floods ("mail bombing") to MOD addressees may be considered as an attempt to cause a denial of service, and as such will be considered as a serious security matter that may therefore be pursued with the postmaster of the originating address.
